Practice
Free blackjack practice game
This is a free blackjack practice game for learning how a round is played. Every hand is staked with practice credits, which have no monetary value and cannot be bought, cashed out or transferred. No real money or anything with monetary value is wagered, and no account is needed.
Practice table
The practice table loads in your browser.
The practice game is for study rather than for tracking results, so there is no bankroll that carries over. Each hand uses a fixed stake of 10 practice credits, and insurance, when it is offered, is 5 practice credits.
Rules used in this practice game
The rules below are the ones this practice game follows. They match the six-deck game described in the blackjack guide.
- Six decks.
- The dealer stands on all totals of 17, including soft 17.
- The dealer checks the hole card for blackjack when the face-up card is an ace or a ten-value card.
- Blackjack pays 3:2, and any other winning hand pays 1:1. Equal totals push.
- When those actions are available, you can hit to take another card or stand to finish your turn.
- You can double on an eligible two-card hand, which takes exactly one further card and finishes the hand.
- You can split two cards of equal value, up to a total of four hands. Aces cannot be split again, each split ace receives one card only, and an ace with a ten-value card after a split counts as an ordinary 21.
- Insurance is offered when the dealer shows an ace, and pays 2:1 on a dealer blackjack.
- Surrender is not offered.
